After weeks of easing myself back into swimming (my long swim up to yesterday was 1400m) in a patient effort to avoid injuring my shoulder, last night I finally found my stroke. I ended up swimming the sets the Masters group was swimming, and some of the "breathe every 3, 5, 7 stroke" sets forced me into a much better body rotation. My balance was good, my reach was good, and my stroke felt strong and smooth. I was kicking a little harder for these sets, and that probably helped. I finished with 2000m and no shoulder pain. It's fun to swim well.
